Vic Gundotra (IITM90), Google+ creator resigns as Google’s sr. vice-president

Vivek Gundotra, an IIT Madras 1990 graduate and the man behind Google’s premier social network, Google+, resigned abruptly from his position as senior vice-president.

Google CEO Larry Page thanked Gundotra for his years of service, lauding him for “[building] Google+ from nothing” and adding that he was “very grateful for all your[Gundotra’s] hard work and passion.”

Before Google, Vic had worked for 15 years at Microsoft, and had been featured in MIT’s annual “Young Innovator under 35” in 2003.
