While Vinod Khosla (IITD75) bagged the award for his work in the alternative energy landscape, almost all of the rest happen to be IITians of prominence in the global business landscape. The only non-IITian in the list, Dr. Jagdish Bhagwati, a professor of economics and law at Columbia University, was born long before the first IIT was even inaugurated!
