IITG to be a part of EU-India
NAMASTE scheme

Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati will be included in the European Union’s Networking and Mobility Actions for Sustainable Technology and Environment (NAMASTE) scheme.

European Union and India will work jointly to expand the scope of IT and environment high education under a three million Euro scheme for the next four years.

All in all, twenty higher education institutions have been selected for the purpose.

The discussion with European Union will start in September and the primary objectives of the schemes are to improve mutual understanding between the EU and India and enhance political, cultural, educational, and economic links of India with the EU.

It will enhance bilateral cooperation in education and research, thus providing important scientific and technological cooperation, political, educational and economic links between the EU and India.
